Sunshine Heights Co-operative Day Care

Sunshine Heights Co-operative Day Care opened its doors in 1974 providing local Families with quality, licensed child care. We are a non-profit charitable organization, governed by a Board of Directors of Community and Parent volunteers. We provide care for children from birth to twelve years of age in a secure, loving and positive environment.

Quality care is provided by professional Staff working within the guidelines of the Day Nursery Act. Our Early Childhood Educators are registered members of The College of Early Childhood Educators. All Staff have current First Aid and CPR certificates. 

Our Philosophy

Sunshine Heights Day Care strives to provide a positive learning environment for your child that will enhance his or her level of development. Through play experiences, group activities and community field trips, your child will be exposed to stimulating situations under the guidance of our specially trained staff.

Licensing

Sunshine Heights Day Care is fully inspected and licensed by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services under the Day Nurseries Act.

We are regularly inspected by a representative of the ministry, the HKPR Public Health Unit, as well as the Port Hope Fire Department.
